Huntingdon Police Reports

Over $50,000 stolen

•The Huntingdon Police Department is investigating the recent theft of over $50,000 in cash from a Huntingdon business.

According to the report by Officer Richard Crossno, he responded on March 14 to a call about a possible burglary at Mi Pueblito Restaurant on Elks Lodge Road. Crossno spoke with employees who showed him a busted front window and a broken brick on the floor. During the course of investigation, officers found that the cash register had been broken into, and a safe and lock box in the office had been opened and all the contents taken, except for a few penny rolls. Officers contacted Christian and Dianna Ceda, who run the restaurant but were out of town at the time, and they said there had been over $50,250 in cash in the safe. Officers also reviewed video from surveillance cameras, which showed a tall man wearing a mask and a white or gray sweatshirt and hoody break in through the window between 1 a.m. and 2:10 a.m., break into the cash register, and then go into the office and stay for a long time. Officers questioned several employees at the scene.

Drug Possession

•Kristin Brooke Plunkett of Cedar Grove was cited for drug possession during a March 12 traffic stop in Huntingdon.

According to the report by Officer Michael Verner, he stopped a Honda minivan at a local convenience store due to out-of-date tags. While speaking with the male driver, Verner detected the odor of marijuana. A computer check showed that the license of the male driver, who was not named in the report, was suspended, and the license of Plunkett, a passenger in the vehicle, was revoked. Plunkett was found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and a pipe used for smoking drugs.

Multiple Charges

•Samuel Gregory of Huntingdon was charged with attempted aggravated burglary, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication following a March 10 incident in Huntingdon.

According to the report by Officer Labe Ezell, he responded to a call about an attempted break-in at a residence on Bridgeman Street. Upon arrival, Ezell observed three people coming out of the woods, and they told Ezell that they had chased a man who had tried to break into the house through the woods. They said the man was wearing bright yellow. Shortly thereafter, Lt. Angie Barker observed a man wearing bright yellow shorts staggering along Bridgeman Street. Ezell made contact with Gregory and observed that his arms and legs appeared to have scratches on them. Ezell reported that Gregory allegedly tried to kick in the door of the house, made death threats and shouted racial slurs toward a neighbor who confronted him, and appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance.

Drug, Weapons Violations

•Shawn P. Bradley of Huntingdon was charged with possession of a schedule IV drug and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon during a March 17 traffic stop in Huntingdon.

Officer Michael Verner reported that he pulled over a blue Ford SUV after getting a call about a possible drunk driver and observing the vehicle stop in the lane of traffic and almost get hit by another vehicle while pulling out onto Highway 22 North. Verner identified Brandy L. Hardin as the driver and asked her if she had been drinking or taking drugs. While giving Hardin field-sobriety tests, Verner observed that she could not stand up very well, and Hardin refused to submit to a blood test. Bradley, who was a passenger in the vehicle and has a felony conviction out of Henry County, was found to be in possession of 12 Xanax pills, a loaded 22 rifle, and a loaded nine-millimeter magazine. The report did not list any charges against Hardin.

DUI, Drugs

•Stella L. Siggers of Huntingdon was charged with DUI (second offense), possession of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia following a March 21 traffic accident in Huntingdon.

According to the report by Officer Carlton Cupples, he responded to an accident on West Paris Street, and upon arrival, he found that a 1997 Chevy S-10 driven by Siggers had run off the roadway and crashed into a white fence. Cupples observed that Siggers was disoriented and her speech was slurred. When asked if she was injured, Siggers said she was okay. After she was checked out by EMS responders, Cupples tried to give Siggers field sobriety tests, but she was unable to complete them. She did agree to take a blood test. Cupples and another officer observed pill bottles and a small plastic baggie in plain sight in Siggers’ purse inside the vehicle. A search of her purse yielded two glass pipes with methamphetamine residue, three empty pill bottles with the labels removed, and a baggie containing a substance that tested positive for meth.
