Huntingdon Planning Commission recommends zoning change

Huntingdon Municipal Planning Commission’s recommendation to rezone a property at 19810 East Main Street will be brought before the Huntingdon Town Council at a Nov. 10 meeting for the first reading.

If it passes at that meeting, the second reading will be held on Nov. 24 following a public hearing on the matter.

Kenneth and Lisa Horner, owners of the property, have made a request that it be rezoned B-2 (General Business) from B-1 (Neighborhood Business).

The property already has several other businesses located in spaces in the building.

Another business planning to locate in the line of rental spaces needs the zoning changed, according to the Horner couple.

City Planner Donny Bunton said he saw no problem with changing the zoning since it joined other B-2 property.

The building is located behind E3 Fitness.
