Huntingdon-McEwen, McKenzie-Halls games cancelled due to COVID

Two of Carroll County’s high school football teams will not be playing tonight (Friday, Sept. 18) due to COVID-19 issues at the opposing schools.

The originally scheduled games between the Huntingdon High School Mustangs and McEwen in Huntingdon and the McKenzie High School Rebels and Halls at Halls have both been cancelled.

The McEwen and Halls football teams are both under quarantine due to players and/or coaches testing positive for the coronavirus.

The Mustangs’ next scheduled game is against Milan in Milan on Friday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m., and the Rebels are next slated to host Stewart County for homecoming on Sept. 25 at 7:30 p.m.

Tonight’s games between the West Carroll War Eagles at Gleason at 7 p.m. and the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers and Middleton at Central at 7 p.m. were still on as of this morning.

The Tigers will be recognizing seniors as part of Senior Night celebrations at 6:15 p.m.
