Huntingdon man killed in collision with semi

Cody Byrum, 25, of Huntingdon was killed in a two-vehicle crash Oct. 26 on Highway 22 just south of Huntingdon.

According to preliminary information from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Byrum was a passenger in a 1995 Ford F-250 driven by Matthew Williams, 24, of Huntingdon.

At around 5:10 p.m., this vehicle collided with a 1996 Kenworth tractor-trailer that was also traveling on Highway 22.

Williams was injured in the crash. Nick Threet, 55, of Jamestown, who was driving the tractor-trailer, was not injured.

Byrum’s obituary states that he died at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Carroll County.

The crash is still under investigation.

Byrum, who worked as an autobody repairman, leaves behind a wife, Dakota, and son, Kylyn, as well as other family members.

Funeral services for Byrum were held on Saturday at Chase Funeral Home, and he was buried at Jamison Cemetery.
