Huntingdon hit and run under investigation

The Huntingdon Police Department is investigating a hit and run accident involving a pedestrian Thursday night on Veterans Drive in Huntingdon, according to  Public Safety Director Walter Smothers.

The woman, Allysa Burnett, 30, of Huntingdon, who was walking with her boyfriend at approximately 7:43 p.m., was  hit by a vehicle on Veterans Drive near Cotham Drive.

She was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. Her condition is unknown at this time. Parts from the offender’s vehicle appear to be from a gray Kia Sonata.

 “We are asking anyone that may see a vehicle with damage matching this description to please call the Huntingdon Police Department at 731-986-5310,” said Smothers.
