Huntingdon’s Heritage Festival is set for Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on the Court Square.
There will be lots of entertainment and fun activities going on throughout the day. At 10 a.m. the local Pioneer Family Award will be presented by Mayor Dale Kelley to the Ed and Sarah Smith family. Recognized with the Outstanding Citizen award will be Mike Cary.
There will be a cruise-in, pony rides, inflatables, ISTEA train rides, face painting and mudslinger’s pottery, and vendor booths for jewelry, clothing, crafts, food, snow cones, and ice cream.
There will be a Heritage Festival Main Street 5K Run that will take place on Saturday morning. Registration for the run begins at 7 a.m. with race time at 8 a.m.
There will be a corn-hole tournament hosted by Huntingdon First Baptist Church. Registration for the tournament will be from 9 – 11 a.m. with the tournament lasting from 11 – 1 p.m.
The children’s stage, sponsored by Huntingdon Animal Clinic will feature family entertainment, such as Bird of Prey Presentation, a reading of “Llama, Llama”, a reptile presentation, a Carroll County Library presentation, Birdsong School of Music Mini Concert and HHS Science Club.
