Harold L. Turner, 89, passed away on Sunday, August 1 at Las Vegas, NV. Burial was held Friday, August 13 at
the Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City, NV.
Mr. Turner was born on February 1, 1932, in the house on the family farm in Huntingdon. He is the son of James Tommie Turner and Essie May Joyner Turner. He graduated from Central High School in Bruceton and a Business College in Nashville. He moved to Michigan and worked in accounting for the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Mich. After his marriage in 1956, he moved to Ogden, Utah, to work for the Litton Corp. His next assignment was to form his own company, International Home Capital Mortgage Co., in California. He had the rank of colonel when retired from the Army Reserves. He really enjoyed participating in maneuvers with his men. He is preceded in death by his older brothers James Edwin Turner and William (Red) Earl Turner.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 64 years, Priscilla Ruja Turner; his daughter, Pamela Jean Turner, wife of David Enenbach and his son Thomas Turner, husband of Lori, all of Las Vegas, NV.; and a sister Dorothy B. Turner Wilson of Rochester Hills, Mich.; and one brother-in-law Eli Will Ruja of Jakcson, Mich. He had 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
