Harold Gene Brewer, 89, of Cosby, passed away Thursday, February 9, at his home. Funeral services were held Monday, February 13, in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Burial followed in Hampton Cemetery; with Phil Williams officiating.
Mr. Brewer was born June 18, 1933, in Westport, to the late Eulas Addison Brewer and Jeptha Hood Brewer. He was the owner of Brewer Oil Company, Army Veteran and a 53 year member of the Masonic Lodge #106, Scottish Rite, Al Chymia Shrine & Order of Easter Star #180.
He is survived by his wife Jane Brewer of Cosby ; one daughter Emily (Andy) Bolding of Springville; one step-daughter Elizabeth Rich of Orlando, Florida; two step-sons Randall (Glenda) Rich
and Kenny Rich both of Huntingdon; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Shriners Hospital for Children, St. Jude, or Parriottsville Quilt Guild.
Honoring him as pallbearers will be Justin Moore, Craig Autry, Randall Rich, Warren Gordon, Dale Milam and Roger Birdwell.
Honoring him as honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Hill, Tim Brewer, Andy Bolding, C J Rich and Timmy Williams.
