Good Sportmanship

The Carroll Academy Jaguar and Lady Jaguar basketball teams have again won the coveted A.F. Bridges Sportsmanship Award. Both teams have won this award every year since 1999, except for the 2001-02 season – and that was due to Coach Randy Hatch getting ejected from a game. Along with the award, the school was given a banner listing all 18 seasons that the school has had no players penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct. The players are also wearing “Donate Life” shirts in honor of Hatch, whose life was saved by an organ donor earlier this year. Pictured are players (from row, from left) Marabeth Gallimore, Rae Holloway, Savionna Foster, Kaylee Brock, McKaylan Truett, Ly’Asia Harrell, Rosemarie McGill, (back row, from left) DaShawn Iloff, Kendrid Coppola, Jacob Welch, Caleb Johnson, Rhett Whidden, Dustin Byrd, Bryce Jones, and Dalton Moudy.
