GoFundMe account set up for Joann Long

Randy and Joann Long

A public request for financial assistance has been made for a popular Atwood couple, Randy and Joann Long, who have rising medical bills. Brandi Everett, a niece of the couple, has set up a GoFundMe account after Joann experienced a brain medical emergency on February 28. According to Ms. Everett, Joann was life flighted to the Methodist Hospital in Memphis where she stayed in ICU for several weeks. She is now at home.

Randy is a Carroll County Commissioner from District 1.

“Joann is improving every day, and each of you who knows Joann knows that she is a spitfire, strong-willed, and determined woman. Joann did not have an Air Evac membership so the medical bills are going to be a big hurdle that she and Randy will soon have to face. Our goal is to raise enough money for Joann so that she can focus on her long road to recovery, and ease the burden of the financial strain that her medical care is going to cost. “

If you cannot donate,  you are asked that you please share and get the word out.  Many people have asked how they can help.

“Your prayers are also coveted and thank you to everyone who has stepped up to help this family so far. I know that Joann, Randy, and the children are truly appreciative, ”Ms. Everett wrote. To contribute by Facebook, go to Randy Long’s page and follow the GoFundMe link.”
