Frances E. Churchwell

Mrs. Frances Ellen Churchwell, 83, of Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 12, in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Alex Hilliard officiating. Burial followed in Humbles Cemetery.
Mrs. Churchwell was born Aug. 21, 1937 in Juno, the daughter of the late Otis Franklin Wilson and Esther Louella (Cook) Wilson. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church since 1957 and was the Church Treasurer for over forty years.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, of 58 years, Bobby Joe Churchwell and four brothers, Frank Wilson, James Wilson, Johnny Wilson and Billy Wilson.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Gerry) Hilliard and Robbie (Tim) Carlton; two sons, Robert (April) Churchwell and James (Debbie) Churchwell, all of Huntingdon. She also leaves six grandchildren, Jennifer (Chad) Arnold, Jonathan (Jenny) Carroll, Jessica (Kris) Hunley, Chance (Samantha) Carlton, Sara Churchwell (Corbin Mitchell), Jacob Churchwell and nine great grandchildren.
Pallbearers who served were Jonathan Carroll, Chance Carlton, Jacob Churchwell, Kris Hunley, Bobby Kirk and Corbin Mitchell.  Honorary pallbearers were Joe Smothers, Billy Christian, Herrold Vaughn, Brady Carroll, Alex Arnold, Taylor Arnold, Jaidynn Lowrance, Kent Wilson, and Kurt Wilson.
