Fillies winning streak at nine, Mustangs lose three

 The Huntingdon Fillies finished the week strong as they avenged their only loss of the season with an 86-59 win over McKenzie. The Fillies saw the week end with a nine-game winning streak and their record at 12-1 for the season as they transition into the Christmas break. The Fillies received a season high 31 points from junior forward Lilly Kee who also recorded 17 rebounds for the game and blocked four shots. Senior Sophie Singleton added 20 points in the win for the Fillies. Delaney Byars scored 11 points, Annabelle Singleton 8, Lia Fuller 8, Sara Beth Smith 6, and Josey Stokes 3. McKenzie was led by Briley Auvenshine with 18, Mikaela Reynolds 15 and Katie Chesser 9.

 The week finished with the Mustangs dropping their third game in a row for the week in a 71-53 loss to the Rebels. It was a see saw affair for both teams as McKenzie started the game on a 15-2 run and led after the first quarter 23-10 but the Mustangs came back and tied the score at the half 29-29. It was 49-44 at the end of the three with McKenzie leading and the Rebels scored 22 points to the Mustangs 9 in the final frame for the win. Huntingdon was led in scoring by Kaleb Pearson with 14, Ty Kelley 13, E.J. Lewis 13,  Caleb Ezell 6, Landon Gordon 5, and Jordon Willis 2. McKenzie was led by Bryson Steele with 26, Marquez Taylor 16, Tate Surber 10, Stafford Roditis 10, Carter Kee 7, and Zay Webber 2.

 The Fillies started the week with a week over Clarksburg 79-22. It was the Fillies seventh win in a row and they are now 10-1 for the season. The Fillies were led in scoring by Delaney Byars with 20, Lilly Kee 16, Sara Beth Smith 9, Sydney Anderson 6, Josey Stokes 6, Annabelle Singleton 4, Quinn Kelley 4, Annabeth Crews 4, Lia Fuller 3, Claire Cary 3, Sophie Singleton 2, and Juli Harris 2. Clarksburg was led by Sam Seagraves with 7, Addison Milam 5, Chloe Crum 3, Cassie Blount 3, Grace Bartholomew 2, and Libby Autry 2.

 The Mustangs trailed for most of the game in the nightcap and fell to Clarksburg 86-75. The Mustangs were led in scoring by Landon Gordon with 18, Caleb Ezell and Graham Bartholomew 15, Tycen Willis 12, Jordon Willis 7, Ethan Ramsey 2, Rayshawn Bailey 2, Elijah Flowers 2, and Kaleb Pearson 2. Clarksburg was led by Clint Clayton with 21,  Sha Williams 19, Trae Cobb 18, Braden Cobb 16, Stefan Gilbert 10, and Jacob Derryberry 2.

 The Fillies and Mustangs took to the road Tuesday night at Stewart County and the Fillies improved to 11-1 with a 67-29 win over the Lady Rebels. Lilly Kee led the way with 18, Byars 12, S. Singleton 9, A. Singleton 7, Anderson 5, Stokes 6, Smith 4, Kelley 3, Fuller 2, and Crews 2. Stewart County was led by Jenna Williams with 6.

 The Mustangs let a late lead slip away and fell in the second game Tuesday 68-62. Ezell led the Mustangs with 15, Bartholomew 14, Lewis 9, Bailey 8, T. Willis 6, Pearson 4, J. Willis 3, and Flowers 1. Hayden Wallace led Stewart County with 27.
