Emily C. Peterson

Emily Cary Peterson, 17, of Clarksburg, passed away Monday, Oct. 12, from injuries she received in an automobile accident. Funeral services were held Thursday Oct. 15, at noon, at the Clarksburg Church of Christ with Chase Sanders, Tim Parish, Mark Peterson and Hunter Peterson officiating. Burial followed at Sellers Hill Cemetery.

Miss Peterson was born May 26, 2003, in Jackson.  She was a Senior at Clarksburg High School where she was in the Beta Club, and a member of Clarksburg Church of Christ.  She was employed at Wee Care Ministries in Huntingdon as a teacher’s assistant and loved taking care of the babies there.  She also loved spending time with her niece and nephew, Austin and Tate.  She has a host of friends that loved her and called her “Pete”. 

She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Bobby and Jean Peterson.

She is survived by her parents, Steven Leslie and Michelle R. Cary Peterson, and maternal grandparents, Max and Pansy Cary, all of Clarksburg; a sister, Hillary (Adam) Parish, and a brother, Hunter Peterson, both of Huntingdon;  a niece, Austin Ivy Parish and a nephew, Tate Parish.

Pallbearers who served were Lorne, Flynn and David Steele, Adam Parish, Hunter Peterson, and Billy Springer.
