Anyone driving southbound along Highway 22 coming out of Huntingdon may have noticed that there appears to be some work being done on a lot right next to the spec building in the Huntingdon Industrial Park South.
That’s because a new industry has picked that spot to build a facility and open up operations in Carroll County.
According to sources, Michigan-based Dynamix Casting Fluxes, LLC is currently laying the groundwork for the construction of a 20,000 square foot facility.
At that facility, Dynamix will be employing around 25 workers to produce an industrial powder mix used for steel molding.
The company is hoping to have the operation up and going during the first quarter of next year.
In a telephone interview Monday, Carroll County Chamber of Commerce President Brad Hurley said that it would not be appropriate for him to comment on the project at this time since the state has not yet made an official announcement regarding the project.
Hurley said that he is expecting the state to make an announcement within the next couple of weeks.
