Doris Nelle Pritchard Ward


Doris Nelle Pritchard Ward, 91, of Huntingdon passed away on Sunday, February 6 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Due to the concerns with the Covid-19 pandemic, the family has chosen to have a private service.

Ms. Ward was born on May 20, 1930, in Huntingdon to the late Andrew T. and Gurtha Griggs Pritchard. She was an educator for Huntingdon Special School District. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother; Dewey Pritchard, and her sisters; Ruth Baker, Dorothy Sue Looney, and Betty Belew.

She is survived by two sons; Paul Ward, Jr. and Bobby Ward, both of Huntingdon, one brother; James Ronald (Margaret Ann) Pritchard of Brentwood, three grandchildren; Jill (Tony) Bonds, John Hunter (Suzanne) Ward, and Travis (Holly) Ward, and five great-grandchildren; Elijah Bonds, Annalesa Bonds, Andy Ward, Charlie Ward, and Harris Ward.
