Darrell W. Ellis

Darrell Wayne Ellis, 66 of Westport, passed away Thursday, March 25, at his home. Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 28, in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Michael Butler officiating. Burial followed at New Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Ellis was born July 12, 1954 in Huntingdon. He worked as a Disposal Manager for American Ordinance Company, was a member of Yuma Missionary Baptist Church, and served in the National Guard.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Renee Ellis and a brother, Mike Ellis.
He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Joyce Ellis; a daughter, Heather (Scott) Hodge of Huntingdon, his parents, Roy and Dorothy Ellis of Yuma; one brother, David Ellis of New Johnsonville. He also leaves two grandchildren, Harper Hodge, and Lilah Hodge.
Pallbearers who served were Randall Renfroe, Don Renfroe, Mike Baker, Ronnie Baker, Corey Renfroe, Matthew Lambdin, and Phillip Lambdin.  Honorary pallbearers were Theodore Williams, Eddie Criswell, Terry Mitchell, Jeff Wood, Joey Roberts, Rusty Pugh, Johnny Blount, Jerry Christerson, and Corine Claybrook.
