The Carroll County Legislative Body passed the five resolutions on the May 11 agenda that dealt with the appointment of individuals to various county boards and committees.
These five resolutions included:
•A resolution to appoint John Austin to the Board of Zoning Appeals and Regional Planning Commission with the term ending May 2024.
•A resolution to reappoint John Wright to the Audit Committee with term ending May 2024.
•A resolution to appoint Barry Mac Murphy to the Audit Committee with term ending May 2022.
•A resolution to reappoint Ronnie Murphy to the Audit Committee with term ending May 2022.
•A resolution to reappoint Steve Parker to the Audit Committee with term ending May 2022.
A $100 charity was granted to Brett Gibson.
At the conclusion of the meeting Commissioner John Mann asked how the 2020-2021 budget was coming along.
“At the moment the budget committee is doing good, although it would be better if it was great,” he said.
He said the Budget Committee has frozen all spending and all departments had been asked to cut each budget. Presently, the General Fund budget had $3,049,375.34 in it. There are plans to present the 2020-2021 budget at the June 8 meeting.
