Claudine Morgan

1919 – 2019

Mrs. Claudine Morgan, 100, of McKenzie, passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, at the Baptist Hospital in Huntingdon.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home.  Bro. Jason Jackson officiated the service.  Interment followed in Union Academy Cemetery.

Pallbearers who served were Tim Hilliard, Taylor Hilliard, Grant Hilliard, Charles Seaton, Frankie Welch, and John Merritt.  Honorary pallbearer was Eddie Granger.

Mrs. Morgan was born April 17, 1919 in McKenzie, to the late Porter Coleman and Felma Barker Coleman.  She worked for Basler Electric as a factory worker and was a member of Union Academy Missionary Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband; Will Morgan, two sisters; Grace Fuller, Louise Merritt, nephew; Phillip Merritt, and great-nephew; Mitchell Merritt.

She is survived by two nieces; Joyce Cannon (Carl Ray) of Huntingdon, Rita Weissman (Bruce) of Florida.  She also leaves five great nieces and nephews; Teri Hilliard (Tim), Tameka Granger (Eddie), John Merritt (Brenda), Alex Weissman, Jacob Weissman and many great-great nieces and nephews.
