Clarksburg Sweetheart Breakfast

LOTS OF FOLKS – The city of Clarksburg held its annual Valentine Sweetheart Breakfast Saturday from 7 to 11 a.m. The city hall community room was filled with people which among them were many politicians seeking votes. The breakfast food of bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, orange juice and coffee brought in $1,414,50 that will used for the park fund. The attendees ate 16 lbs. of sausage, 40 lbs. of bacon, 37 dozen eggs, lots of pancakes, coffee and juice. To go along with the pancakes were syrup and homemade orange marmalade and muscadine jelly. At the front table are Linda and Jim Burcham of Bruceton. The couple said it was their first time to attend and knew about it by reading it in the Carroll County News Leader. A WORKING MAYOR – Clarksburg Mayor Howell Wayne Todd was kept busy Saturday cooking up 37 dozen of eggs for the Valentine Sweetheart Breakfast.
