In the Sept . 21 issue of this newspaper in the article about the Bruceton Board meeting, it should be noted that Mayor Bob Keeton wrote a letter to Dollar General Corporation concerning the store in general and about keeping the store shelves well stocked. The mayor received a call from the Operations Manager who said he would look into the stocking issue and assured the mayor that the Bruceton store was here to stay and there were no plans to downgrade or close it at all.
Alderman Jack Blocker commented during the meeting that he was glad the store was staying and was being restocked.
