Charlie R. “Zippy” Pritchard

Charlie Ray “Zippy” Pritchard, 73, of Yuma, passed away Friday, September 10 at Henderson County Community Hospital in Lexington. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 14 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Phillip Halter officiating. Burial followed at New Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Pritchard was born January 4, 1948, to the late Charlie Rex Pritchard and Lorell (Hedge) Pritchard. He was employed as a truck driver and farmer. He loved to play Rook at Yuma as a favorite hobby. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters; Shirley Wooley and Linda Lou Pritchard, two brothers; William Pritchard and Jimmie Pritchard.

He is survived by his special friend; Rose, three daughters; Carla Jeffries (Jason) of Westport, Cheryl McAlexander (Ricky) of Huntingdon, and Sandra Walker of Knoxville, two sisters; Betty Hart and Helen Whitaker (James) both of Yuma. He also leaves five grandchildren; Connor Jeffries, Lilly Jeffries, Genji Prater, Heath McAlexander, Heather Wooten, and three great grandchildren; Ealon, Anson, and Emory.

Pallbearers who served were Kenny Wooley, Greg Wooley, Tim Pritchard, John Hart, Kevin Hart, and Ricky Hollowell. Honorary pallbearers were Bryant Hollowell, Rex Hart, and Chad Odle.
