The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce sponsored a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly opened Lyons Den Restaurant at 30432 Broad St. in Bruceton on Oct. 7.
The owners are Aaron and Cheryl Lyons who have resided in Buena Vista since April. They have also lived in Mansfield and Greenfield. The phone number for the restaurant is 731-252-0112.
Over the years they have resided in New Hampshire, Arizona and Oregon where they managed kitchens. They have nine children of which four are biological and grown. The other five are adopted.
The Lyons had decided to retire, but according to Cheryl that plan didn’t work for the couple so they decided to get back in the food service business.
They are open from 7:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Sunday the restaurant closes at 7 p.m. Breakfast is served on Sunday from 7:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. with brunch beginning at 10 a.m. until 3 p .m. There is a lunch buffet on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. and dinner meals from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.
On Sunday the Lyons couple give 10 percent of their take to the churches.
On the first and third Thursdays of each month the restaurant hosts the Bruceton Lions Club.
Cheryl makes specialty desserts in the way of cup cakes in a variety of flavors and unique design as well as pies and cakes for the public.
They invite the public to come by and try their great food selections.
