God inspired David to direct each of us to “Be still before the Lord” (Psalm 37:7), because only God, who created all that is and each of us for Himself, knows and understands us completely, can he give us a new mind and a different outlook, relax the tension within us both day and night, and relieve our endless worry that constantly troubles us, and, in His grace, forgives all of the sins we have committed and which plague us with guilt, and do all of those things that God created us to do.
