When Jesus Christ’s disciples begged him, “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1), God gave to Jesus Christ the words of the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13; Luke 11:2-4) which means that authentic prayer is given to us by God, who is eternal, who created us, and who put within us a yearning to pray to Him, and that so-called prayer that does not have its origin in God is false and artificial; yet, authentic prayer comes from God in eternity and is never affected by time, circumstances, or human opinion.
