Paul’s declaration, “I have learned to be content” (Philippians 4:11), reminds us that his contentment came, not from himself, but from Jesus Christ who created him, transformed his life, completely knew and understood everything about him, was constantly with him, leading him to the places Christ wanted him to go, directing him in what to do and say in those places, inspiring him to write the letters he wrote, and comforting him when he suffered and was imprisoned for doing the will of Jesus Christ.
