Paul’s promise, “I will come back if it is God’s will” (Acts 18:21) as he left Ephesus and sailed to Caesarea, reminds us that God is the priority in our life because He created us through Jesus Christ to fulfill His purpose which only He can direct and enable us to do as we read and study His Word, pray to Him, trust Him, follow His guidance in making choices, realize that our life is constantly in His’s hands, and affirm with James, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that” (Jams 4:15).
