Cecil Pendergrass

Cecil A. Pendergrass, 92, of Cedar Grove, passed away Tuesday, October 5 at Jackson Madison

County General Hospital. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 8 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Phillip Halter officiating. Burial followed in Clarksburg Cemetery.

Mr. Pendergrass was born July 5, 1929, in Clarksburg to the late Jesse and Florence Douglas Pendergrass. He was a welder for the City of Memphis for 35 years and served in the Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years; Eunice Jean Pendergrass, two sisters; Nita Faye Lovell and Brooksie McDaniel, and a brother; Adrian Pendergrass.

He is survived by his daughter; Sandra Pendergrass, of Cedar Grove, two sisters; Willie Mae Scott, and Joyce Altom, both of Clarksburg, a grandson; Christopher McCaslin of Cedar Grove, two great- grandchildren; Brooklyn McCaslin and Gage McCaslin, and a great-great grandchild; Miles Rossum.

Pallbearers who served were Jason Costello, Joey Holley, Gavin Rossum, Dave Hernandez, David Reynolds, and Steven Baker.
