All city governmental offices in the county are closed to the public due to the COVID – 19. All have drop boxes where payments can be placed and some can be paid on line.
At Huntingdon City Hall, there is a drive-through window and a night drop box beside the window. Payments can be made online or mailed.
The March 24 council meeting is cancelled as is the 1 p.m. Lake Commission meeting and the 2 p.m. Carroll County Watershed Board meeting.
All departments are still operating as usual.
At McKenzie, the drop box behind City Hall in the wall can be used to place payments. All meetings and city court have been cancelled. A legislative session that was to be held Monday morning at 8 a.m. with House members Bruce Griffey, Andy Holt and Curtis Halford, and Senator John Stevens was cancelled.
At Bruceton City Hall, the offices will continue to serve customers between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. by phone or drop box only. Water bills and property taxes can be paid online. The town will continue to operate to provide vital water and sewer services along with police and street services.
In Hollow Rock, if you need new water service you may call 586-7773 or 586-7775. Payments can be mailed to P.O. Box 247 or placed in drop box which is on the right side after turning into City Hall.
In Clarksburg, the March 23 board meeting, the driving school on March 24 and city court on March 19 were all cancelled. Payments can be made on the website or the drop box by the City Hall door. The city recorder can be reached by phone between 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
In McLemoresville, a drop box at City Hall can be used for payment. City Hall can be called at 986-9440.
In Atwood, there is a night drop for customers to use for payments at City Hall. Customers cannot pay on line according to town recorder Amanda Browning.
In Trezevant, payments for water and sewer, taxes and court fines can be deposited in the night drop. There will be no city court until May.
