License Violation

•Kashif Bond, 35, of 15220 of Highland Drive, McKenzie, was cited for driving on a suspended license during an August 15 traffic stop in Trezevant.

According to the report by Deputy Michael Sevarns, he pulled over a vehicle driven by Bond due to a headlight being out. Bond told Sevarns that he did not have a driver’s license, and a computer check showed that Bond’s license was suspended.

Domestic Assault

•Eric James Olsen, 32, of 343 Blooming Grove Church Road, McKenzie, was charged with domestic assault following an August 18 incident at his residence.

According to the report by Deputy Eric Sawyers, he responded to Olsen’s residence after receiving a call about Olsen assaulting his mother, Cari Mann. Upon arrival, Sawyers observed that Mann had a bloody mouth and bite marks on her arms and legs. Mann told Sawyers that her son had knocked her to the ground, started punching her in the face, and bit her on the arm and leg. A friend of the family told Sawyers that she came inside the residence and found Olsen on top of his mother punching her in the face in the bathroom. Mann said that her son had been violent with her for nearly a year and a half. Olsen was transported to the Carroll County Jail.

Vandalism

•Deputies are looking into the recent possible vandalism of a vehicle on private property in Yuma.

Larry Gene Cary of Westport told deputies on Aug. 19 that he left his 2012 Nissan Altima behind the house on 422 Damron Road on the previous night, and when he returned to do work on the property the following day, he noticed damage to the vehicle that had not been there before, including damage to the bumper, taillight, and rear quarter panel. Damage was estimated at $1,500.
