Burglary

•Deputies are investigating the recent burglary of a McKenzie residence.

Isabelle O’Neal told deputies on Nov. 30 that someone broke into her trailer at 107 Hilltop Drive sometime between Nov. 26 and Nov. 29 and took several items. Reported as stolen were a pair of gold hoop earrings with diamonds valued at $100, a gold ring with a pink ice heart stone valued at $75, a leather jackets valued at $30, cowgirl boots valued at $200, and various beauty products valued at $100.

Burglary

•The Sheriff’s Department is investigating the recent burglary of a business in Atwood.

Alaa Qaadan contacted the Sheriff’s Department on Dec. 1 and reported that someone broke into the Atwood Express convenience store at around 3:00 that morning and stole numerous items. Qaadan said that the burglary was captured on video surveillance. Reported as stolen were $5,800 in cigarettes, $2,600 in vaping products, and $20 in cigars.

Assault

•Josh Snead, 32, of 475 Tank Range Road, Huntingdon, was charged with simple assault following a Nov. 29 incident at his residence.

According to the report by Deputy Christopher Adams, he was contacted by the McKenzie Police Department about a case of domestic assault that occurred in the county, and upon arrival at the MPD, Adams spoke with Ashley Snead. She told officers that she was assaulted by her husband (Josh Snead) at their residence. She said that her husband head-butted her above her right eye, grabbed her by the throat, picked her up, slammed her to the floor, and then slapped her on the face when she stood back up. Mrs. Snead said she recently had back surgery and that her back was causing her a lot of pain.
