Carroll County General Sessions

The following cases were bound over to the Grandy Jury last week in Carroll County General Sessions Court:

•Tracy L. Longmire, Hwy 424, Yuma, bound over for Burglary-Other than Habitation and Theft of Merchandise $1,000 to $2,500.

•Christopher Steven McCaslin, Old Lavinia Road, Cedar Grove, bound over for Unlawful Possession of Weapon and Theft Up To $1,000; dismissed charges of Theft of Property $2,500 – $10,000 and Theft Up To $1,000.

•Derek T. Grooms, Broad Street, Hollow Rock, bound over for Assault-Bodily Injury, Resisting Arrest, and 2 counts Domestic Assault; dismissed charge of Aggravated Burglary.

•Carlos Lazenta Milton, Elm Street, McKenzie, bound over Possession Weapon – Convicted Felon, Possession of Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, and 3 counts of Simple Possession/Casual Exchange; dismissed charges of Meth-MFG, Deliver, Sale, Possession with Intent, Possession Firearm with Intent To Go Armed-Dangerous Felony.

•Arthur Teas, Spruce Street, McKenzie, bound over for Schedule VI Drugs-MFG, Del, Sell, Poss; dismissed charges of Possession of Drugs in a Drug Free Zone, Meth-MFG, Deliver, Sale, Possession with Intent, and Possession of Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.

The following cases resulted in guilty verdicts or guilty pleas:

•James Paul Forrest, Hillcourt Circle, Huntingdon, guilty of Possession of Handgun While Under Influence, 11/29 supervised probation and mental health evaluation; dismissed charge of Public Intoxication.

•Vincent Edward Chapple, Buck Ditch Road, Huntingdon, guilty of Probation Violation, 30 days jail and termination of supervised probation after 30 days; dismissed charges of Failure to Appear-2 counts.

•Raymie Lee Craig, West College Street, Bradford, guilty of Failure to Appear and Driving While License Revoked, 20 days jail and 11/9 supervised probation; dismissed charges of 4 counts of Failure to Appear, Reckless Driving, Failure to Stop at Stop Sign, Expired Registration, Violation of Financial Responsibility Law.

•Christavon R. Horton, Walnut Avenue, McKenzie, guilty of Theft Up To $1,000, 45 days jail, No contact with victim, 10/14 unsupervised probation; dismissed charge of Domestic Assault.

•Earl Kindler, Cotton Creek Road, Bruceton, guilty of Probation Violation, 10 days jail and probation extended for period of non-compliance; dismissed charges of 2 counts Failure to Appear and Possession of Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.

•Maurice Lawrence, Coleman Road, Memphis, guilty of Failure to Appear, 18 days jail, 11/11 supervised probation, no contact with business, and mental health assessment; dismissed charges of Criminal Trespass – 3 counts.

•Patrick M. Oliver, East Cedar Street, Dyersburg, guilty of criminal impersonation, 50 days jail, and 4 months unsupervised probation.

•Shaun Allen Uhrick, Melton Road, Camden, guilty of Meth-MFG, Deliver, Sale, Possession with Intent, $1,000 fine, 90 days jail, and 20/28 supervised probation; dismissed charges of Failure to Appear and Violation of Financial Responsibility Law.

•Adam Stanley Young, Hwy 104, Cedar Grove, guilty of Failure to Appear, 23 days jail and 11/6 unsupervised probation.

The following cases were granted pre-trial or judicial diversions:

•Abbigail Gamble, Bridgeman Street, Huntingdon, pre-trial diversion for Evading Arrest, alcohol and drug counseling, 7 mos probation, and 40 hrs community service; dismissed charges of Failure to Appear, Resisting Arrest, and Public Intoxication.

•Joseph Walters, Hwy 436, Trezevant, pre-trial diversion for Theft of Property $2,500 to $10,000, 11/29 sentence suspended except for 10 days, 11/29 unsupervised probation, and $200 restitution, and court costs and taxes; guilty of Domestic Assault, 11/29 suspended except 10 days, and 11/19 unsupervised probation; dismissed charges of Meth-Possession or Casual Exchange, Possession Firearm with Intent To Go Armed-Dangerous Felony, and Theft of Property $1,000to $2,500.

•Melissa Ann Crawford, Hwy 106, Ellington, Mo, pre-trial diversion for Failure to Appear-Misdemeanor, 11/29 unsupervised probation; dismissed charge of Allowing Dog To Run At Large.

•Darius B. Love, Hwy 104 W, Cedar Grove, pre-trial diversion for Theft of Merchandise-Up to $1,000, 11/29 unsupervised probation, and no contact with business.

•Shawfon Powell, Hamilton Street, McKenzie, pre-trial diversion for Child Abuse/Neglect/Endangerment-Attempt and Public Intoxication, follow all recommendations of DCS regarding her child.

•Jesse Thomas, Westport Road, Huntingdon, pre-trial diversion, Theft of Merchandise-Shoplifting, pay cost and taxes and no contact with business.

The following cases were dismissed:

•Dustin Ray Billings, Cotton Lane, Huntingdon, dismissed charges of 2 counts of Aggravated Assault, 2 counts of Domestic Assault, Aggravated Cruelty To Animals, and Public Intoxication.

•Kevin J. Carey, Fewell Lane, Lavinia, dismissed charges of Failure to Appear, Driving While License Suspended, Financial Responsibility Law Violation, and Drivers to Exercise Due Care.

•Angelica Holden, Forrest Avenue, McKenzie, dismissed charges of Meth-MFG, Deliver, Sale, Possession With intent and Possession of Schedule VI Drugs, Possession of Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, and Resisting Arrest. Charges can be refiled if defendant is rearrested.

•Shaun Allen Uhrick, Melton Road, Camden, dismissed charge of Failure to Appear.
