Carroll County General Sessions

The following cases were bound over to the Grand Jury last week in Carroll County General Sessions Court:

•Robert Barlet, Linden Street, McKenzie, bound over on charges of failure to appear

•Robert Earl Bartlett, Spruce Street, McKenzie, bound over on charge of aggravated criminal trespass, aggravated assault.

•Roger Hollowell, Leach Rd., Cedar Grove, bound over on charges of meth-manufacture, deliver, possession; possession of schedule IV drugs; burglary, theft of merchandise, shoplifting, simple possession, prohibited weapon.

•Daniel Copeland, Highway 89, Palmersville, bound over, possession of firearm with intent to go armed, tampering with evidence, possession of drugs, schedule VI.

The following cases resulted in a guilty verdict or plea:

•Charles Austill, Broad Street, Hollow Rock, guilty of reckless driving by intoxicant, $350 fine, unsupervised probation.

•Trent Gordon Baker, Cherrywood Avenue, McKenzie, guilty, domestic assault, 10 days jail, supervised probation, 30 hours of community service, complete intervention program.

•Earl Browning, Main Street, Atwood, guilty, vandalism, six months in jail, supervised probation, no contact with victim; guilty, violation of probation; dismissed charges of failure to appear, violation of order of protection.

•Lindsey Beth Cary, Country Farm Ln., Huntingdon, guilty, theft, 30 days jail, no contact with victims; dismissed, theft of property.

•Jerry Christian, Winchester Street, McKenzie, guilty, domestic assault, 10 days jail; guilty, simple possession, $250 fine, 11/29 supervised probation.

•Roger J. Hollowell, Leach Rd., Cedar Grove, guilty, probation violation, 30 days jail.

•Johnathon Neely, Ephesus Church Rd., Hollow Rock, guilty, domestic assault, 60 days jail, supervised probation, intervention program required.

•Eric Olson, Blooming Grove Road, McKenzie, domestic assault, 10 days jail, supervised probation.

The following cases were dismissed:

•Alcenda Allen, Blue Lane, Huntingdon, dismissed, driving while suspended, unlawful use of telecommunications device, violation of financial responsibility law.

•Christie Lucille Avery, Vale-McKenzie Road, Hollow Rock, dismissed, contributing to dependency/neglect.

•Robert Best, Bent Street, Camden, dismissed, domestic assault.

•Hailey Craig, Cheryl Street, McKenzie, dismissed, possession of firearm with intent to go armed, dismissed tampering with evidence.. Pre-trial diversion on possession/casual exchange $250 fine, supervised probation; pre-trial diversion on unlawful drug paraphernalia, $150 fine.

•Nicholas French, Seminary Street, Hollow Rock, dismissed, domestic assault.

•Savannah Fritts, Seminary Street, Hollow Rock, dismissed, domestic assault, vandalism.

•Mariques Taylor, Stonewall Street, McKenzie, dismissed, theft of property; bound over on charge of aggravated assault, domestic assault.

The following cases resulted in a pre-trial diversion judgment:

•Jessica Marie Barnette, pre-trial diversion, theft, must pay victim.

•Christopher Chaney, Clark Street, Huntingdon, pre-trial diversion, under 21 possession of alcoholic beverage, 20 hours community service.
