Carroll County General Sessions

The following cases were bound over to the Grand Jury last week in Carroll County General Sessions Court:

•Justin Harris, Marlboro Road, Hollow Rock, was bound over on charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, vandalism, and tampering with evidence.

•Raven Hudgins, Germantown Road, Milan, bound over on charges of DUI-first offense, failure to appear, and worthless checks.

•Laquan McFerren, Lankford Road, Paris, bound over on charges of schedule VI drugs-manufacture, deliver, sell, or possess, tampering with evidence.

•Jarred Wayne Sterling, Adell Street, Hollow Rock, bound over on charge of theft of property.

•Maranda N. Tharpe, Highway 77, Paris, bound over on charge of schedule VI drugs-manufacture, deliver, sell or possess, tampering with evidence.

The following cases resulted in a guilty plea or finding:

•Douglas Bradley, Big Buck Road, Trezevant, guilty, violation of order of protection, sentenced to time served in jail.

•Joshua David Brown, Highway 114, Hollow Rock, guilty plea to a lesser charge of harassment, $100 fine, 10 days in jail; dismissed, DUI-third offense; dismissed, violation of financial responsibility; dismissed, window tint violation.

•Mark R. Caparros, Duncan Street, Hollow Rock, guilty, drivng while revoked, 10 days in jail, unsupervised probation for 11/29.

•Toni L. Craig, Chestnut Street, Camden, guilty, failure to appear, 30 days in jail, supervised probation for 10 months, 29 days; dismissed, resist stop, arrest, search; dismissed, public intoxication.

•Kelvin Evans, Altamont Drive, Jackson, guilty, resist stop, arrest, search, 45 days in day, 5 months, 15 days supervised probation; dismissed, failure to appear, dismissed, driving while suspended, dismissed, financial responsibility.

•Tony R. Horner, Main Street, Dyer, guilty, probation violation, 30 days in jail, probation extended; dismissed, failure to appear.

•Brandon David Huotari, McKenzie, guilty, criminal trespassing, $50 fine.

•Bobby Lynn Malugen, Moore Creek Road, Buena Vista, guilty on plea bargain, drivers license to be carried, 10 days in jail; dismissed, speeding.

•Robert Stacy Reaves, Highway 77, Atwood, guilty, assault-threat of bodily injury, no contact with victim, supervised probation for 11/20.

•Lloyd J. Sawyer, Winchester Street, McKenzie, guilty, failure to appear, 40 days in jail, supervised probation for 10 months, 19 days.

•Darrin R. Sheffield, Laurel Street, Bruceton, guilty, simple possession, reckless endangerment,  $250 fine, supervised probation for 11/29, 10 days in jail; dismissed charges of casual exchange, possession of drug paraphernalia.

•Jordan Tyler Shepherd, Hebron Church Road, Hollow Rock, guilty, probation violation, 30 days jail, reduced to 10 days if employed.

•Amber C. Walker, Main Street, McKenzie, guilty, driving while suspended, $100 fine, unsupervised probation for six months.

The cases dismissed included the following:

•Mondarius Helms, Vega Drive, Jackson, dismissed, reckless endangerment; pre-trial diversion on charge of arrest-flight, seven months in jail, supervised probation for 19 months, 28 days.

•Kristen M. Jenkins, Dillahunty Road, Huntingdon, dismissed, driving while suspended.

•Nicholas Simmons, High Street, Huntingdon, dismissed, disorderly conduct.

•Rachel Sutterfield, Six Rivers Ct., Temecula, California, dismissed, driving while suspended and speeding

The following cases were adjudicated through pre-trial diversion:

•Bryston Diggs, Walnut Circle, McKenzie, pre-trial diversion on charge of theft of merchandise, no contact with Huntingdon Walmart, unsupervised probation for six months.

•Stephan Hames, Highway 77, McLemoresville, pre-trial diversion on charge of harassment, not to travel on Hurt Street, Trezevant, no contact with any employee of Affordable Dentures of Jackson, no contact with victim except for child visitation; pre-trial diversion on charge of contempt of court.

•Mondarius Helms, Vega Drive, Jackson, pre-trial diversion, possession, $250 fine, 7 months in jail, supervised probation.

•Trisha Marie Moran, Terry Road, Cedar Grove, pre-trial diversion, assault, complete anger management, no violent contact.

•Austin D. Taylor, McClure Street, McKenzie, pre-trial diversion, criminal trespass, 11 months and 29 days in jail with credit day for day for successful in-patient rehab; no contact with victim.

•Eddie Woods, Weathers Road, Huntingdon, pre-trial diversion, sale of alcohol to minor, ruled to make no sales of alcohol to minors.

•Joshua Wren, Highway 70, McEwen, pre-trial diversion, assault, physical contact, complete anger management.
