The Dixie Announces Free Art Workshops for Spring 2023

Beginning January 2023, The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center will be offering free art education workshops for students of all ages in Art, Photography, Pottery, Musical Theatre, Acting & Improvisation, and Choir for a limited time. This amazing opportunity is thanks to an Arts Recovery Grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission. Students will need to register online at dixiepac.net or visit The Dixie’s box office for the classes.  No more than two classes/workshops allowed per student.

 Those who wish to participate will be required to submit a piece of artwork by 4:00 pm on January 2nd:

· Students in PreK-5th grade: complete one coloring sheet (available on The Dixie’s website)

· Students 6th-12th grade & adults: submit one piece of artwork (drawing, painting, sculpture, poem, essay) about “Why the Arts are Important to Me”.
