Friends of the Carroll County Library Stack O’ Books Earrings

The Friends of the Carroll County Library are selling “stack o’ books” pierced earrings for $15 a pair.  They are made of polymer clay and come in a variety of colors for the holidays. The earrings can be shipped anywhere in the continental US for an additional $6 per pair. 

 The earrings make the perfect gift for your book loving friends, teachers, librarians, book club members, and family.  Earrings can be purchased at the Carroll County Library during regular business hours.  The Friends of the Carroll County Library accepts all forms of payment.

Food for Sharing Bag

E.W. James in McKenzie and Cash Saver in Huntingdon are both offering the Food for Sharing bags through December to help local families in need.  Customers can purchase each Food for Sharing bag for $9.56.  Each bag consist of a 40 oz bag of Idahoan mashed potatoes, a can of green beans, a can of whole corn, a can of tuna, a can of northern beans, a can of pinto beans, a jar of peanut butter, a can of chicken noodle soup, a can of tomato soup, and a box of macaroni and cheese.  The stores deliver the bags purchased to the Carl Perkins Center to help local needy families.

 Throughout the year, these stores sometimes offer the Food for Sharing bag when the Carl Perkins Center is low on food. 

 Carroll County 2022 Higher Education Profile

According to the 2022 THEC/TSAC Higher Education County Profile, below is the information for Carroll County:

 • 89.2% of Carroll Countains ages 25 to 64 have a High School Diploma.

State average is 89.4%

 • 26.1% of Carroll Countains ages 25 to 64 have at least an AA degree.

State Average is 36.9%

 • 20.7% of Carroll County ages 25 to 64 have at least a BA degree.

State average is 28.9%

 The Carroll County College-Going rate is 70.1% compared to the state average of 56.9%.
