  • • Lyons Den – Friday, October 7
  • Lyons Den is a new restaurant located at 30432 Broad Street in Bruceton.  The Chamber will host a ribbon cutting on Friday, October 7th at 10:00 am.

 • Friends of the Carroll County Library – Tuesday, October 11th

The Friends of the Carroll County Library is a non-profit organization who raise funds to support the Carroll County Library.  On Tuesday, October 11th, the Chamber will host  a ribbon cutting for the Friends at the Carroll County Library at 2:00 pm.  The ribbon cutting will take place in front of the Carroll County Library located at 625 High Street in Huntingdon.

 **New** Spectrum “Rural Tech Talk” Date and Location – October 6

On Thursday, October 6, Spectrum along with Mayor Butler will be hosting a panel discussion at the Colonial Tea Room located at 125 Court Square in Huntingdon.  The topic of the “Tech Talk” will be broadband accessibility and affordability in Carroll County. The event will begin at 2:00 pm and conclude at 3:00 pm.

 TN SCTP Recruiting Day in Huntingdon, TN – October 8th

Date/Time: October 8th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm CT

Location:  Carroll County Shooting Sports Park

 Tennessee Wildlife Federation’s Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) is hosting 4th through 12th graders on October 8th in Huntingdon, TN, to try shooting sports.  This free recruiting day will introduce the youth to the world of shotgun shooting and get them connected to a team in their area.  SCTP teaches the importance of safe firearms handling, responsibility, leadership, teamwork, and promotes healthy competition.

 No previous experience is needed.  Beginners will be guided through proper firearm safety and receive instruction from a highly-trained coach before having the chance to hit a few practice targets on their own.  Interested youth must have a legal guardian present to participate.  Safety equipment will be provided for each participant. Most locations will have firearms available for attendees, but participants are encouraged to bring any equipment they do own.
