The Carroll County Soil Conservation District and the Natural Resource Conservation Service would like to thank the residents of Carroll County for their participation in our Arbor Day event. The day was an overwhelming success as over 100 residents received over 1300 native trees. Trees available for pick up included Willow Oak, Christmas Pine, Pecan, Dogwood and Bald Cypress, all of which were donated to the community by the Carroll County Soil Conservation District. Once planted, these trees will improve our soils, our waterways and our quality of life here in Carroll County. We are also honored to have assisted the community in remembering those lost during the COVID crisis. Tennessee College of Applied Technology – McKenzie was able to plant trees in memoriam for Terry Wilson, HVAC Instructor, and Anthony Mastrominico, Industrial Maintenance/HVAC student.
