Carolyn Scates, 88, of Huntingdon passed away Tuesday January 11, 2022 at her home.Funeral services were held on Friday, January 14 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Burial followed at McAuley Cemetery with Henry Simpson officiating.
Mrs. Scates was born November 29, 1933 to the late Jesse Iowa Robertsand Nell Pinson Roberts. She was a retired LPN with Baptist Memorial Hospital and a member of Huntingdon First Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband; Paul Edwin Scates Sr., one sister Rachel Sewell; two brothers; Pete Roberts and J.I. Roberts.
She is survived by two sons; Paul Edwin (Lisa) Scates MD, of Somerville and Stanley Nelson (Penny) Scates of Dickson, four grandchildren; Ashley Elizabeth Scates, Tara Michelle Scates, Paul Edwin Scates III and Hillary (Adam) Hohlt, one great-grandchild Piper Newcomb.
