Carl Richard Mann

Carl Richard Mann, 78, of Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were held on Sunday, Dec. 20, in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Rickie Stone and Rick Crossno officiating. Burial followed in Palmer Shelter Cemetery.
Mr. Carl Mann was born August 22, 1942 in Huntingdon to the late Tommie Mann and Iva (Smothers) Mann. He was a member of Vernon’s Chapel Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Mann; a sister, Allie Lifsey; two brothers, Harold Mann, Lendell Mann; and a step daughter, Rhonda Acuff.
He is survived by a son, Richard (Tawny) Mann of Burkesville, Kentucky; a daughter, Rhonda Ames of Baxter Springs, Kansas; a sister, Jean (Nathan) Gulledge of Huntingdon; three grandchildren, Remy Mann of Germany, Cassie (Jason) Dunn of Pea Ridge, Arkansas and Josh (Abbey) Ames of Baxter Springs, Kansas; and six great-grandchildren, Lillie, Lexie, Evan, Gavin, Charleigh, Beckett.
He also leaves five step daughters, Kim Stone, Virginia Mooney, Tammy Stoneburner, Sheila Gilbert, all of Decatur County, and Charlotte Belew of Huntingdon; several step grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers who served were Dave Mallard, Jack Propps, Josh Ames, Jamie Mann, Marty Eubanks, and Ricky Eubanks.  Honorary pallbearers were Little David Wilkins, David Ball, Charlie Rich, Jr.
