Career Fair set at West Carroll school

Deadline for vendor registration is March 20

The auxiliary gym at West Carroll Junior Senior High School will serve as the site of a region-wide career fair March 31. This is an effort to increase awareness and enrollment in Early Postsecondary Opportunities and to highlight opportunities for students to earn college credit and industry certifications while in high school.

Area businesses are invited to participate in the Career, Health and Safety Fair from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. that Friday. The event is an effort to showcase the link between education and career readiness. It is sponsored by the school’s Career and Technical Education Department, CTSO organizations and the Tenne Health Council. The school’s HOSA, FBLA, FFA and FCCLA clubs will provide a hospitality room for participants.

There is a limited space for table set-ups available and participants are asked to register early to secure a spot in this event. Participants will need to bring a collapsible table if possible. The school reminds guests that it now utilizes the RAPTOR safety scanner and entry into the school requires a driver’s license for verification in the high school office.

Reserve a spot by March 20 to be a part of this multi-organizational event. RSVP by emailing [email protected] or [email protected]. An online link to register is also available on the school’s Facebook page at West Carroll Special School District.
