Brietterman takes over girls’ basketball at Central

Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School will have some changes in its girls’ basketball program in the upcoming school year.

Recardo Britteman (Coach Reco) has been hired as Central’s new head girls’ basketball coach over both the high school and middle school teams.

A multi-sport athlete in basketball and football at both the high school and college levels, Britteman is a 2019 graduate of Bethel University and a 2014 graduate of Middleton High School in Hardeman County.

“Coach Britteman is an enthusiastic young man who is well-respected in the field of education,” said Central High School Principal Joe Norval. “We are pleased to add him to our coaching and teaching staff.”

As far as his plans for the Lady Tigers, Britteman said he intends to “lead by example with attention to a positive attitude, hard work, and dedication to the school and team.”

With a degree in Education from Bethel, Britteman will be joining Central’s Special Education staff this fall.

Britteman is replacing former head coach Ashley Lowe, who has resigned after one year at Central to take a position with the McKenzie Special School District.
