Billy Ray Pinson, 85, of Atwood, passed away Monday June 28, at the NHC Healthcare in Milan. Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 1, in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Scotty Davis officiating. Burial followed in the Pisgah Cemetery in Atwood.
Mr. Pinson was born May 25, 1936 in Atwood, to the late Claude B. Pinson and Corrine (Joyner) Pinson. He retired from Owen’s Corning, worked several years for the West Carroll Special District, was a member of Howse Baptist Church and a Air Force Veteran.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald Pinson and Claude B. Pinson, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Etta Pinson; three sons, Steve Pinson of McLemoresville, Randall (Cindy) Pinson of Atwood, Terry (Londa) Pinson of Huntingdon; and one brother, Gary Pinson of Humboldt. He also leaves seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers who served were Ray Pinson, Chase Pinson, Mike Pinson, Frankie Smith, Jacob Coleman, and Jason Coleman.
