Betty Lou Haynes, 83, passed away Thursday, Oct. 10 at Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Garland Broadway and Bro. Dennis Abernathy officiants. Interment followed at Hampton Cemetery near Huntingdon.
Pallbearers: John Cooper, Richard Gilbert, Jameson Winston, and James Tomlinson.
Mrs. Haynes was born January 18, 1936 in Carroll County to the late Robert Cleo Chambers and Elise Irene Hall Chambers. She was a primitive Baptist in faith, Mrs. Haynes was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Haynes.
She is survived by two daughters: Katherine Tomlinson of Holladay and Julia Haynes of Hollow Rock; two sons: Edward Watson Haynes of Saucier, MS and William Robert Haynes of Murfreesboro; two sisters: Nancy Haywood of Huntingdon and Vonell Adsit of Marietta, GA.; seven grandchildren: Krystal, Grace, Christie, John, Brooke, Haley, and Bishop; three great-grandchildren: Robbie, Claire, and Garrett.
