Bethel/Eastside FCE member take trip to Natchez Trace Park

The Bethel/Eastside FCE met on August 11 at the home of Mary and Pennye Mays. There were 10 present with two visitors, Ms. Linda Hilliard, and Ms. Becky Kirby. The ladies were very glad they attended. The meeting was called to order by president, Gail Eubanks. The devotion was given by Judy Roberts, hostess for the day. She used the devotion entitled “Put down your glass.” The Club Pledge was read by all.

Old business: A table will be set up at the Heritage Day Festival. There will be lemonade, some pamphlets, and crafts. On Saturday, August 27, members met and carpooled for the trip to Natchez Trace. More trips are under discussion.

New business: The October meeting will be held at the 1,000 Acre Lake. The Carroll County Fair was brought up and hopefully there will be a good showing of exhibits. A heritage skill day is planned for October in Jackson, with a variety of classes available. Contact the agent, Lacy Yelly to sign up.

The educational program was on stress. Linda Hilliard led us in some yoga exercises.

The meeting was adjourned. The next month’s hostess will be Carol Hatley.
