The benefit for the Mixie Storm/Tornado Victims will be Thursday, April 9 at the Carroll County Civic Center. It starts at 6 p.m., but the doors will open at 5 p.m. Suggested $10.00 donation at the door, but not required. There will be dinner, auction, & entertainment. Looking for donations for for the auction, any food or baked goods etc.

One benefit was held March 8 at the Renfroe farm with lots of items brought to the Renfroe farm.
There were over 20 volunteers helping to unload, sort, and deliver items. They used up their entire afternoon helping with the benefit.
Four full-size trailer loads of goods (household, cleaning supplies, non perishable food, shelter supplies and personal care items) were collected. The total count of items (multipacks we counted as one item) was 1,800 items, 1,500 water bottles and 270 Gatorade bottles. The donated goods were delivered to nine families.
The Mixie Storm Victims fund has raised over $7,000 as of Monday morning. The fund will be kept open until March 21 to accept donations.
Ten families in the Mixie community had total or partial damage to their houses from the tornado. Some do not have homeowners’ insurance and need some assistance.
