Baptist Carroll County team visits library for Tot Time

Team members from Baptist Memorial Hospital-Carroll County recently visited the Carroll County Public Library to participate in readings and crafts during Toddler Time Playgroup, also known as Tot Time.

Tot Time is a relaxed and fun environment where kids ages birth through 5 and their caregivers can come together on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. at the library.

“It’s important to Baptist that we participate in local events, such as Tot Time,” said Michael Dennison, chaplain and director of pastoral care for Baptist Carroll County. “Our team enjoys the camaraderie and giving back to the community.”

During the program, “Pete the Kitty Goes to the Doctor,” was read by Sarah Pitcher, manager of physician relations at Baptist Carroll County, and Leslee Brown, physical therapy assistant at Baptist Carroll County. A second book, “How Do Dinosaurs Get Well Soon?,” was read by Brianna McKinney, director of pharmacy at Baptist Carroll County, and Micah Ehmke, administrative director at Baptist Carroll County.

Dennison assisted with crafts for the 15 participants, and shared the following Bible verses:

“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.” – Psalm 127:3 NLT

“But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.’” – Matthew 19:14 NKJV
