Authorities looking for runaway juvenile

Local authorities are looking for a 17-year-old male juvenile who has run away from home and has failed to appear in court on several serious charges.

According to a press release from the McKenzie Police Department, the juvenile cut off a court-mandated ankle monitor on August 1 and left his place of residence.

After he failed to appear for a court date, a warrant was issued for the juvenile, and since that time, law enforcement agencies have been trying to locate him.

The juvenile is described as a black male, about 5’10 with short hair, a tattoo of the number 20 on one side of his chest and a 02 on the other side, as well as several other unknown tattoos.

The juvenile has been known to carry a weapon in the past, but it is unknown if he had a weapon in his possession when he left his residence.

He has also made threats toward probation officers.

Due to policies of protection regarding juveniles, authorities are not releasing his name or photo at this time.

Authorities suspect that he may be hiding out in McKenzie, Huntingdon, Milan, or Jackson or areas surrounding these communities.

Anyone who has seen a juvenile fitting this description or who knows who this juvenile is and where he is staying should contact a local law enforcement agency immediately.
