Jesus Christ’s affirmation, “I am the resurrection and the life,” John 11:25, assures us that the faith, which only God can give us, does not center in a mere human being who will die, but in a person who is eternally alive and greater than death, and that the faith God gives us does not depend on the teaching of a mere human being but on the living Christ who is the Son of God, through whom God created us and who alone can re-create us into a new person and fill us with His eternal love.
