Twenty-three of Carroll County’s brightest youths gathered for the 2021 Carroll County 4-H Public Speaking Contest. The event was held for fifth and sixth grade individuals who had previously qualified for the contest by receiving a purple ribbon for their speech during their local or in-school 4-H club. This year there was a great turnout of youths who were speaking as well as parents, grandparents, and friends who attended to show support. First place winners will advance to the multi-county public speaking contest in April.
