Protection Order Violation
•Charles Edward Bright, 50, of Winchester Street, McKenzie, was charged with violation of order of protection on March 17.
Officer Kyle Beauchamp reported that he and Patrolman Darren Davis responded to a complaint on Winchester Street. Bright was found in the back yard of the residence, where the occupant had an order of protection after an earlier domestic assault. Bright was arrested and transported to jail.

Drugs, License Violation
•Jordan Hartsfield, 26, of Paris was arrested for possession of meth, violation of financial responsibility, driving on revoked license, and improper display of license plates on March 17 around 2:30 a.m.
Officer Chance Townes saw the vehicle in a parking lot on Highland Drive and had dispatch verify the license plate on the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed a small baggy of crystal-like materials that field-tested positive for meth.

License Violation, Drug Paraphernalia
•Kevin Davis, 42, of Lansing, Michigan, and Patrick Jennings, 43, of Greenfield were charged on March 18 after a traffic stop at 10:17 p.m.
Officer Chance Townes stopped the GMC pickup driven by Jennings because he knew Jennings’ license was revoked. Jennings was asked to step out of the vehicle. When he did, the officer noticed a glass smoking pipe. Officer Townes checked the vehicle and found a small baggy of a white crystal-like substance believed to be meth. Jennings was charged with driving on revoked #3 and the passenger, Kevin Davis, was charged with possession of schedule II drugs and drug paraphernalia.

License, Interlock Device Violations
•Christopher Edward Gregory, 50, of Gleason was charged with driving on suspended license (third offense) and violation of interlock device on March 19.
Sergeant Andy Weaver was dispatched to a medical facility where Gregory was parked near the front door and falling asleep. Gregory said he took his prescription medicine too late and was unable to stay awake. After a check of his license, officers discovered he was required to drive a car with an interlock device because of a previous conviction. The car he was driving did not have the device.

License Violation
•Carlos Lazenta Milton, 35, of Elm Street, McKenzie, was charged with driving on revoked license on March 19 while traveling on Walnut Avenue.
Officer Justin Brister stopped the vehicle after confirming the revoked status. Milton was cited into court and his passenger was allowed to drive the vehicle from the scene.

License Violation
•Dagen Bradford, 20, of Paris was charged with driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop on March 19.
Officer Stacey Bostwick was dispatched to State Route 22 after a U.S. Marshal contacted dispatch about a vehicle driving recklessly and speeding. The federal marshal was behind Bradford’s vehicle. MPD Officer Bostwick made the traffic stop and cited Bradford for the offense. A licensed driver drove the vehicle from the scene.

Violation of Probation
•Jamie L. Carter, 42, of Haynes Street, McKenzie, was charged with violation of probation after a traffic stop on March 19.
Officer Dalton Raspberry stopped the vehicle at approximately 1:14 a.m. because it did not have tail lights. A check of Carter’s license revealed a warrant for violation of probation in Weakley County. Carter was transported to the former Not Hig’s Restaurant, where a Weakley County deputy took custody of him.

Public Intoxication
•Billy Harrison, 39, of Seminary Road, McKenzie, was charged with public intoxication on March 20.
Officer Cody Coleman reported that Harrison was acting strangely on Cedar Street and appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicant. Harrison also had an active warrant out of Humphreys County. After field sobriety tests, Harrison was charged with public intoxication. After he was arrested, he admitted to smoking marijuana within two hours of contact with the officers.

Disorderly Conduct
•Joshua Adam Saylor, 23, of Linden Heights, McKenzie, was charged with disorderly conduct on March 16.
Officer Cody Coleman reported that MPD received a report of a possible domestic incident at the address. When officers arrived, Saylor said everything was fine, but a bystander indicated otherwise. Saylor did not give consent for officers to enter his home, where his grandmother was. Saylor reportedly became aggressive towards the officers when they attempted to investigate. Officer Coleman and Bostwick arrested Saylor. The grandmother stated Saylor was yelling at her and had just returned home after three or four days of being gone. Saylor was transported to Carroll County Jail under a $2,500 bond.
